This policy explains what personal data Wander Fund collects, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
In short: right now we only collect your email address (and, if someone invited you, who referred you) so we can hold your place on the waitlist and tell you when we launch. We don't sell your data, we don't advertise to you on other platforms, and you can ask us to delete everything at any time by emailing privacy@wanderfund.com.
Wander Fund is a product of Twenty Nine Eleven Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, which is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
| Controller | Twenty Nine Eleven Limited (trading as Wander Fund) |

At this stage Wander Fund is a pre-launch waitlist. We deliberately collect as little as possible.
| Data | Why we need it | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | To hold your place in the queue and to email you when we launch or when there's meaningful news. | Consent (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) |
| Referral code & who referred you | To run the queue-position feature, so invites move you and your crew up the list. | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) - operating the waitlist you asked to join |
| Which headline you saw (A/B test) | To understand which wording explains the product best. Not linked to any advertising profile. | Legitimate interests - improving our own service |
| A one-way hash of your IP address | Rate limiting and spam prevention only. We can't reverse it back to your IP. | Legitimate interests - security and preventing abuse |
We do not currently collect names, phone numbers, dates of birth, addresses or any financial information. If that changes when the app launches - for example identity verification, which is a legal requirement for regulated payment products - we will update this policy and tell you before it applies to you.
Our marketing site does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and there is no third-party analytics or advertising pixel on this page.
We use your browser's local storage for two strictly functional purposes: remembering which version of our headline you were shown (so it doesn't change between visits) and remembering that you've already joined the waitlist. This information stays on your device and is not shared. Because it is strictly necessary to provide the service you requested, it does not require consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations - but you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
We never sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that we need to run the waitlist, each of which acts as a processor under contract and may only use the data on our instructions:
We may also disclose data where we're legally required to (for example a valid request from a regulator, court or law enforcement).
We host data in the UK or European Economic Area wherever possible. If any provider processes data outside the UK/EEA, we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, together with any additional safeguards needed, so your data keeps an equivalent level of protection.
We keep waitlist data until the earlier of: (a) you asking us to delete it; (b) 24 months after our launch or after your last interaction with us; or (c) us deciding not to proceed with the product, at which point we delete the list. Hashed IP records used for spam prevention are deleted within 12 months.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe. To exercise any other right, email privacy@wanderfund.com - we'll respond within one month, and it's free.
We don't use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Waitlist records are held in an access-controlled database with row-level security enabled, meaning no public or anonymous access is possible. Signups are written by a server-side function holding credentials that are never exposed to your browser. Access to production data is limited to those who need it, and traffic is encrypted in transit.
Wander Fund is not intended for under-18s and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us their data, contact us and we'll delete it.
If we make material changes - particularly when the app launches and we begin processing more data - we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, notify waitlist members by email.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first at privacy@wanderfund.com so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator:

This policy is a working draft prepared for a pre-launch waitlist. The bracketed company details must be completed, and it should be reviewed by a data protection adviser before launch - particularly before any identity, payment or transaction data is processed, which will bring further obligations.
